NAVS has responsibility to oversee and approve all displayed credits / hours for the purpose of continuing professional education and development, and it is responsibility of the Commission for continued professional education and development.

Above stated NAVS members are required to submit , using On-line entry,   their hours / credits for continuing professional education for each year,  in the following way:

Professional activities for calendar year to be completed in period from 1st January until 31st December of that calendar year.

Submission of data for the calendar year is done until 31st January next year.

NAVS Commission for continued professional education and development oversees and verifies submitted data about professional activities for calendar year , from 1st February to 1st March next year, whereby incomplete entries  are sent back to the member for additional amendment.

NAVS members who have submitted complete and accurate information about their professional activities shall be notified of the successful entry of data on the activities undertaken for that calendar year

What data is submitted?

  • The exact name of the professional activities, the exact name of the topic, the exact name of the organization which organizes the professional activity
  • Date of the activity
  • Duration of the activity
  • Activity Status (Completed / Planned)
  • Type of professional activity, either formally or informally
  • Confirmation , Certificate, Diploma of attendance of professional activities with an explicitly stated amount of credits / hours of continuing professional development, if the activity is not organized by NAVS

Deadlines and Penalties

NAVS Commission for continuing professional education and development will decide:

  • To place a sanction – fine of 100 euros in dinars for delay of the entry of professional activities completed in the calendar year and to all entries made after  31st January next year for the previous calendar year.
  • To approve the extension of the deadline for exceptional circumstances or exemption from the responsibility  to undertake professional activities in a given period
  • To submit a proposal to the NAVS Managerial Board to deny the status of an accredited member or deny the use of internationally recognized professional designation  issued by NAVS, if the member in two consecutive years does not complete and does not submit data about compulsory number of hours / credits attending professional activities for the purpose of continuous professional education, although he was warned by NAVS.
  • To allow to the member, who has not completed required number of twenty (20) hours / credits in one calendar year,  to use the hours / credits that will be achieved in the next calendar year to make up for the deficiency. However, hours/ credits earned in the next year can not be used to fulfill required number of credits/hours in that year until the required amount from preceding year is met.
  • To refer to the NAVS Management Board and to the Disciplinary Committee for consideration case when a member enters forged document or untrue information on the professional activity performed on a continuous professional education.

Member has 15 days from receipt of the notification of the sanction determined by the Commission to send a complaint. The appeal shall be submitted to the Secretariat, which is forwarded to the Comission and NAVS Management Board , which is considering the document, the decision of the Commission and member’s complaint.

NAVS Management Board  makes a decision and  submits it  to the Commission as well as to the member who appealed. The Commission is required to record the hours / credits in accordance with the decision of the NAVS Management Board.  Following the decision of the NAVS Management Board, a member is no longer entitled to appeal within the internal NAVS process.

Difficulties with the professional activities for continuing professional education

Your professional activities for  continuing professional education should be recorded on NAVS  internet portal for the management of data on continuing professional education on an ongoing basis.

If you have any difficulties in completing professional activities or have difficulties in on-line data entry, please immediately notify NAVS Secretariat sending an e-mail to office@procenitelji.org.rs, in order to receive the appropriate support and overcome the difficulties described.

NUPS reserves the right to take sanctions against members which do not fulfill the responsibilities towards continuing professional education.

NUPS Commission for continuing professional education and development can grant partial or complete exemption from complying with the obligation of continuing professional education, and at the request of Nupsu if there is a legitimate reason such as in the case of serious illness, temporary disability for work for more than 3 months , whereby Member Nupsu seeking exemption from this obligation, must support its request with appropriate documentation.
