20 Years of the National Association of Valuers of Serbia (2006 – 2026)

The National Association of Valuers of Serbia (NAVS) is marking twenty years since its founding, during which it has grown into a key professional institution in the field of real estate valuation and the valuation of other forms of assets in the Republic of Serbia.

Since its establishment in 2006, NAVS has continuously pursued the goal of improving professional valuation standards, strengthening ethical principles in valuers’ work, and establishing an institutional framework for the development and affirmation of the valuation profession. During a period of intensive changes in the economic, legal, and market environment, the Association has played a significant role in shaping professional practices and in aligning the domestic valuation system with international and European standards.

A particular contribution of NAVS is reflected in the area of professional education and continuous professional development, through the organization of educational programs, seminars, and professional conferences, as well as through active participation in public consultations and professional communication with state institutions, the financial sector, courts, and other relevant stakeholders.

Over two decades of operation, NAVS has built a recognizable identity based on expertise, responsibility, and the public interest, contributing to strengthening trust in the valuation profession and its role in making economic, investment, and legal decisions.

The celebration of the 20-year anniversary is an opportunity not only to look back at the results achieved, but also to reaffirm the Association’s core values and to clearly define future directions for development in the context of further improving valuation standards and professional responsibility.
